In private practice and the insurance industry, Rex Ramos has over 35 years of experience working insurance coverage and insurance defense claims.  He has focused on the effective resolution of coverage issues under various claims made and occurrence coverage forms, including policies insuring Professional Liability, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Directors & Officers, Civil Rights, Products Liability, General Liability, Commercial Property, and Captive Loss of Business Income.  He has extensive experience evaluating, preventing, and mitigating bad faith exposure involving difficult claims, difficult litigants, and hotly contested coverage issues, as well as engaging in affirmative good faith activities to mitigate extra-contractual exposure under various common law and statutory frameworks.  Mr. Ramos also has considerable experience defending insureds under various professional liability and miscellaneous professional liability policies and is well versed in all aspects of claims management.

Mr. Ramos was an Accounting and Finance major and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986 and passed the CPA exam in May, 1986.  He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in December, 1988 and was admitted to the Texas State Bar in May, 1989.  He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
